Kelly & Shawn wed in Steinhatchee!

Kelly & Shawn had a beautiful wedding at the Steinhatchee Landing Resort in Steinhatchee, FL. Gorgeous weather surrounded the Steinhatchee chapel as we arrived. We were greeted by Kelly’s mom and dad, Karen and Jerry.

Kelly’s flowers were a mix of pink peonies, roses and other spring flowers. Her gown was from the Jasmine collection. For a full run down of her vendors, please see the links at the very bottom.

We have known this family for quite a bit now as we are photographing both their daughter’s weddings and yes they are both this spring! It was great getting to know Shawn’s family too. His grandmother, well let’s just say, she sure knows how to dance!

Kelly and Shawn were married inside the Steinhatchee Chapel which has gorgeous natural light coming from all sides of the beautiful chapel. Stained glass windows, wood pews, and ornate wood ceiling beams set the look. Following the ceremony, Kelly, Shawn, Jacob and I drove around the property on their decked out golf cart and found an old car, some donkeys, a horse and a dock for photographs. They were so great with all my ideas (even the crazy ones that involved going on the dock which happened to be filled with friendly sand gnats! ).

The evening wrapped up in the Steinhatchee Landing Resort Banquet Hall. Tables with hydrangeas and custom menus were on the inside and outside porch (got to love the Old Florida style porches!). They also had one of the yummiest cakes we’ve ever had.

Kelly, Shawn and family: Thank you for choosing us to be your photographers. Your families and friends truly welcomed us into your day as if we had been apart of your family for a long time. You all were so warm and caring and always checking up on us to see if we needed anything!
